Live in Georgia
Applying Early Decision to Emory + Oxford at Emory
Early Action to Tech, UNC, Michigan Ann Harbor,
Regular to NYU BU Wake Forest
My number one choice right now would be either Emory or Tech because its close to home. What do you guus think? High reach or not?
Please chance me and ask any more info if need be.

Bump please

UNC-CH is a reach, if you’re from out-of-state. My son had similar stats (lower unweighted GPA/higher weighted, due to full IB and extra APs; nearly identical test scores). UNC was his first choice, and he was rejected. He knew it was a reach. Michigan and Emory are probably reaches for you; I don’t know enough about Emory-Oxford. Wake Forest and BU (other than more selective STEM programs) are matches, as Tech probably is (I don’t really know whether there’s an in-state advantage). NYU Arts & Sciences is a high match, but other divisions (e.g. Stern, Poly, etc.) would be reaches.

bump please

For Georgia, you’re covered by Hope and Zell Miller, but outside of GA what’s your financial need?

What exactly do you mean?

Do you want or need a merit scholarship or need based aid ? What’s your parents budget ? Are they able /willing to pay their EFC?
