Hello guys.
I read a lot of posts about applicants having high grades and low SAT/ACT or vice versa. My situation is a bit different so I wanted to seek advice. I graduated from the IB program in May 2015 and received 43 points.
Breakdown
HL Mathematics 7
HL Physics 6
HL Economics 7
SL German Language and Literature 7
SL English B 7
SL Psychology 7
- 2 bonus points
Total 43
However, my SAT is very bad. Maths 770 CR 490 Reading 570 so total of 1830. I have got big problems with the CR and Reading as English is my second language. I now wonder how colleges see this situation? As the IB score is an official standardized score, would that compensate for my bad SAT? My subject tests are 800 in Maths Level 2 and 710 in Physics btw.
I am aiming for schools like UC Berkeley or UCLA where I applied last year which a 43 prediction but did not get in.
I am aware that co curricular play a big role as well so I just want to know where I would stand academically.
Thanks in advance!
