High math score, low critical readiing score

if i get like a 800 math but like a 650 critical reading score, would the low critical reading score prevent me from getting into a good school.

define: “good school”

are you applying to ivy’s?

georgetown, carnegie mellon , nyu stern, around that level

No, it won’t.

The Common Data Set for Carnegie-Mellon lists the Critical Reading 25th-75th percentile range for enrolled students as 610-710, with an average of 657.
NYU lists their range as 600-700.
Georgetown maybe a tad higher. I don’t think they publish their CDS.

well, also depends on your writing score

800 M, 650 CR, and 800 W = still 2250 which is darn good score

**btw, i realize many colleges supposedly dont consider te writing section, but there are many who still do
