Clicking around for non-audition programs for my son, and stumbled across High Point University in NC. It does't look like they have a MT track, but they have a Theater major (BA) and a minor in voice...

I didn't see it listed in the "Big List of Schools" (but I guess that's because there's no MT....maybe I need to head over the the theater forum.)

Anyway-- Does anyone know anything about the school and/or programs mentioned above?

I’ve been reading this forum for a year and a half, mostly on the theatre thread, and this is not a program that I have heard mentioned very often, or even at all.

I don’t know too much about the theatre major but as a High Point University mom, I can tell you firsthand that the theatre department at this university is VERY talented. I went to a play last year and I couldn’t believe I was watching college students performing. I just saw that the school will be performing The Diary of Anne Frank in October. My HPU student doesn’t know it yet but I am definitely coming back to see that! The theatre on campus makes the experience that much more memorable- it really adds to the feel of a night at the theatre. Have you checked highpoint.edu/theatre yet? They also have a Facebook page. Hope your son chooses the HPU family. It is an extraordinary place!
