High Quality, Credit Granting Econometrics Course

Hello all,

I am interested in continuing my study of economics in my senior year at a post-AP level, and have decided that a course in econometrics is a good choice. I will have taken AP Micro, Macro, Calc BC, and Stats by the time I take the course. Right now I am looking at options offered by CSU (https://www.online.colostate.edu/courses/ECON/ECON335.dot) and MSU (http://econ.msu.edu/online_courses/econ420.php). I don’t know much about the quality of these two.

I am not looking for an easy A; I want something of equal difficulty to an on-campus offering. I am also looking for something that grants credit, so I’m not considering Coursera/edX and the like.

Could anyone recommend other courses, or evaluate the quality of the CSU and MSU ones?

Given your math background described in your other thread, you probably want to take math-based intermediate microeconomics and intermediate macroeconomics courses, followed by a math-based econometrics course that follows the intermediate economics courses. But these are unlikely to be available as online or distance education courses.

Look at Harvard Extension School’s catalog.
