high sat, average gpa combo chances?

<p>Hi all i had posted a similar thread a while back but ignore that. I am a junior in high school right now, and i really want to go to some top 30 schools but my gpa is holding me back so i want to know reasonably wherei could go</p>

<p>gpa uw- 3.6 (rounded)
Sat- 2230
Math 730 writing 730 reading 760</p>

<p>Act - reading 36 math 30 writing 29 science 28 (31 composite)</p>

<p>ec's
vp med club
Tennis 3 years so far, varsity this and next year (we have a shot at state champs this year :)
Xc skiing freshman and sophomore
international club - member
debate club this and next year
Band 4th to 10th grade
over 150 hours doing habitat for humanity, animal shelter and hospital volunteer work
should get my private glider license this summer</p>

<p>Additionally, in my temple we have an open kitchen after service</p>

<p>Write good essays, get good recs. Try to get your GPA up as much as possible. Then hope for the best, because at that level, there are no guarantees…</p>

I think it really comes down to your essays and extra-curriculars</p>
