High SAT I Score VS High SAT II Score

Which is better....

1) 650-700 for Math IIc, 700-720 for Physics, 750 for Chem, and 2250-2300 for SAT I

OR

2) 780 for Math IIc, Physics, and Chem... and 2140 for SAT I?

I'm deciding which to retake this Nov!! LOL>.<

1

I think atleast. 2140 is low for a lot of schools. Subject tests are less important...kind of.

Yay okay.

Hopefully I'll get higher than that, argh.. do you know what's the 'norm' for SAT IIs for HYPS? :</p>

ahhhh now I'll have to start working on the SAT I >.< lol.

I would focus on the SAT I. for HYPS, however, all your scores are too low

RLY ):

What do you have to get on the SAT I? For HYPS...
I shall errr aim for that! Lol>.<

As for SATII, I guess it's OVER.

Why do you all say SAT I is more impt though?? (but that's a good thing for me haha:))

2250+ for HYPS usually.

I would work on your SAT I...honestly, your SAT II scores are pretty good (midpoints of your ranges are eerily similar to mine: 670, 690, 720)! I talked to an admissions counselor who said 650+ was good

2140 is not low. It is still 97-98 percentile. Is it low for HYPS, Caltech, MIT? Yes. Is it low for basically every other school? No.

what about top LACs? is 2100+ considered very low?

i'm an international student and my teacher at school tells me that the colleges don't give as much weight to my SAT scores... is 2100-ish still a poor score?
