My GPA is at an incredibly low 2.5 but my SAT scores are pretty high
670 Math 700 Writing and 630 CR (Superscored)

What are my chances at some big schools like:
Indiana
Syracuse
Rutgers(I'm from NJ)
Michigan(no chance)
Fordham University
Penn State
Quinnipiac
Binghamton
NYU

I know some of them are a definite no, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Thanks guys.

You better search for schools that factor GPA less in admission. You can find that information on the Supermatch or on other sites. Nevertheless, most of the schools on your list do put heavy weight on GPA. On the other hand, your SAT score is below the admission average for NYU and UMich that you have little chance even with higher GPA.

If you really want to go to some of these schools perhaps a couple years at community college to get your GPA up and then apply then. It does looks that you are capable from your SAT score, so now to improve your GPA in next couple of years. I did a college search but didn’t see any significant school come up and is probably similar to a local cc. Probably cheaper to attend a cc than going to a super low tier college. Good luck and don’t give up!

I definitely wont go to a community college, I want to go straight to college right after high school. Could you guys possibly suggest similiar schools, that I could maybe get into? Forget UMich and NYU and schools like that, I just put those their just because. But a school like Indiana, is that a reach?

Take my words, go to Supermatch on this site and enter your score/GPA.

All it did was give me a bunch of schools that I have never heard off, not very encouraging haha. The point of my post was to ask if I had any chance of getting into a bigger name school like Indiana or Syracuse.
