I just found out that I have failed Geometry this year (I am a freshman). I am very dissapointed but I plan to turn this around as quickly as possible. The Geometry Class will be repeated by me over the summer.

Here are the rest of my grades:

Afro-Asian Cultures: 91% A-
Geometry Honors: 69% F
Spanish II: 86% B
English Honors: 85% B
Health & Phys Ed: 90% A-
Computer Programming in Languages C and C++: 100% A+
Biology: 82% B-

Anyways, I was wondering what oppurtunities I had in the future and what examples of schools I could expect to apply for and have a chance if I work hard in the Sophomore and Junior years. Will schools such as Penn State or University of Delaware black mark me for failing a freshmen Geometry class?

PSU and UDel take kids with worse grades then yours. Work hard, get an A or B and you'll be fine. Dont be discouraged, Geometry is a *****. My only C in HS was in Geometry.

Yeah, these grades definitely won't kill you at PSU and Delaware. Also, you could look into schools that don't even look at freshman grades if you're confident you can do better in sophomore and junior years, I think that most public universities don't.

Thank you for your input meat, I was also wondering if University of Maryland fell into the same class as Penn State and Delaware since I want to go there in the future.

The University of California schools don't even consider freshman grades--but you'd need a lot better scores in the sophomore and junior years--especially since you are from OOS (out-of-state).
