Over the summer myself and the other kids in my class going for IB diplomas are going to meet at a local college with one of our English teachers to start our Extended Essays. I’ll start my Common App once it comes out in August. Other than that, I hope I can relax some this summer.

I got into Cornell too!
(I got into Duke too.) But Brown offered me a full scholarship while Cornell (and Duke) only offered a partial. Cornell was my first choice though. What does CURIE stand for? I got into the health one.

Hey guys! Long time no see
I took AP Psych (easy!) and am taking AP English Language on Wednesday.

This summer is actually the most exciting summer of my life! I am touring colleges in the middle of June with my mom (New England area). 2 weeks after that, I’ll be studying abroad in Japan for a month. Not even a week after that, I’m participating in this culture exchange program for 10 days!

It’s going to be exhausting (in the best way possible!)

I have no senior project, barely have any classes :D

Over the summer I’ll probably work and do some volunteer work.

this summer im working at a lab doing neuroscience research taking health since it didnt fit in my schedule and volunteering at a hospital…and working at a pizzeria at night if i can get the job…and working on my college apps and intel app…yeah fun summer haha

Your summers all sound way more exciting than mine haha. Tutoring/looking for real job, volunteering at the hospital, working on apps, training for XC and reading a ton. Cannot wait.

At least you have that… I missed the deadline for volunteering at the hospital, and didn’t get any of the jobs I applied for. So basically I have nothing.

Find a part-time.

Take a class, make a job for yourself, volunteer somewhere else (nursing homes ALWAYS want people), etc. you can still find something!

I want to major in either psychology or culinary science…I haven’t really decided yet
Stuck in the middle. I’ll be going to a community college the first year or so (Columbus State) and then I’ll be transferring to The University of Alabama. Yay for class of 2013!!!

I want to be a teacher for a few years.

My plan is

Get a BA in education & pyschology
Get a MA in social work
& finally get a PhD in clinical psychology w/ a concentration in play therapy

^Why so many degrees to be a teacher?

I realized yesterday that I want to be an acoustical engineer. Like, I was literally made for the job. I’m so excited. Now I just have to get into a school that has a good program, cause it’s kind of rare. Basically CMU or Stanford… ■■■. But Purdue has a program, so that could work. Idk how much it would cost out of state though.

No silly! Not all to be a teacher, in my state I need a masters within 5 years to continue teaching; so the only extra degree I’ll be getting is a PhD and I want it to be a clinical child psychologist

Ohhhh that make sense! That sounds like a cool job, actually.

Thanks ![]()
It kinda started out with my sister then me, I’d like to truly be able to make a difference to at least some people ya know?

I’am excited but scared to become a senior next year!
I hope to attend UC Davis and become a research scientists.
Good Luck Class of 2013!
