APJAP I WANTED IT SO MUCH :(

But there’s only like 5 kids worthy of taking an advanced Japanese class in my school cry

I’m the only one if that makes you feel any better… It’s part of this independent study that I started at my school. The 2 other kids in it are still doing Elementary Japanese. :P

I’m going to apply ED to Barnard. I want to hand in all of my applications in the beginning of October because the two state schools I’m applying to (the local state school and the state flagship) fill up rather quickly. I also want to just know I’ve gotten into my safety schools before Thanksgiving just for my own peace of mind. And, one safety school in particular said that they get about 2 applicants a day in the beginning of October, so you’re more likely to get more money and be considered for scholarships the earlier you apply in the year.
I’m also going to apply EA to any school that offers it-like Emerson and such.
The rest I’ll apply RD to.
Hopefully I get into Barnard. I’ll be a nervous wreck about college until decisions come back.

I just made a college list with my mom and it had like 35 schools on it. I have no idea how to narrow it down, ■■■. But I need to get like 20 off of it aha. Hopefully I get in somewhere early.

Same here alwaysleah… Except mine was like 25… But a good 10 of them need to come off. Lol. If not more…

My list is only about 8 schools. But it used to be 30+ a while ago :P

I’m hoping summer will help me narrow my list…

I’m visiting my top 6 and a few others in the same cities this summer, hopefully I’ll end up applying ED/EA to one of them, and getting in, so I can be done.

I know I’m applying SCEA to Harvard. I’m still deciding where else I might apply EA or RD. My top three so far are Harvard, Welesley, and BC. I’d really like to visit more colleges, but I don’t think I’ll have the time or money this summer to do so.

I know I’m starting my Common App the day it goes online.

i am visiting one of my top top schools that ill prob ed to (duke) but in order to do so i have to sacrifice visiting notre dame, michigan vanderbilt and a few other ones that are far since i’ll have to fly there…but im going to see unc while im down there and then a few close-ish schools in july. i am so pumped to see duke i just hope i love it like i do now and don’t start doubting myself!

Starting…common app…applying…to…college…

Wait, what? Aren’t we still freshman? We don’t have to worry about college, that’s years away!

Where did the time go…

@yankee: We were so wrapped up in our classes we didn’t even notice…

I’m also starting common app first day. I’m deciding between EA at Georgetown (will also do BC if I do this), SCEA at Stanford/Harvard, and ED at Williams, Dartmouth, and Brown.

I know they’re all different, but each has something I LOVE that pulls me to it. I hope the campuses will lead to a clear winner.

@yankee: I KNOW. It seems like yesterday I was a freshman. College was so distant. And now, I want everything to slow down! It’s moving too fast! :P

I want it to speed up. I’m sooo done with high school.

ITA. High school has a lot to be desired. I mostly just want to meet new people who are passionate about things, and be able to focus on stuff that I like. Plus, if all goes well I’ll be in the city of my dreams, Boston.

^that too. It’s weird. I feel like I still need to “prepare” my EC’s and everything for college, so I need it to slow down. But the faster I can get out the better!

I’ve had Senioritis since October freshman year hahaha.

I really hope I end up in Boston as well. It’s such an awesome place with so many cool colleges.

If it works out that way, first week of school I’m going to Fenway Park completely decked out in Yankees clothes.

And alwaysleah, I know what you mean. I, too, desperately want to leave high school and can’t wait to be in college and meet new people, but the fact that high school will soon be over and you can’t get it back seems so surreal.

Wow~ I’m looking at colleges in the Boston area as well. Tufts, Brandeis, Boston U, and a few others.

We should have a grand, CC Class of 17 party.
