High School Class of 2013

I’ve been out of school for like 12 days and I already want to kill myself.

We spend all year counting the days until summer and then when summer comes we CAN NOT wait until school starts.

The first day of school is like a rebirth full of joyous serenity.

And then when you realize you have 179 more days to go, the clouds roll in and you feel the onset continuous misery.

I KNOW. I hate NJ suburbs :(

Errr… I have never in my life wanted school to start.

The summer has been pretty busy for me. Went to summer@brown a few weeks ago and we just moved to NYC  I just love the city.
So, I need to go school hunting and get a schedule ASAP ! So, I am a domestic applicant now and I should not be awake at this time of night :p

This summer has been da bomb so far. I would be more than happy staying in summer mode foreva.

I’m happy with summer, but i’m just as busy as I was during the school year, lol, working 25+ hours a week and all. Making money, so no complaints.

Meanwhile, my school stuff has fallen by the wayside…

I work like 25-30 hrs/week, but I much prefer work to school.

lulz I’m interning 40 hours a week and doing summer homework but it’s still soo much better than school.

I just applied to iHop and I was offered a job on the spot because it’s a new store; hopefully I get to keep it though. There was a misunderstanding w/ the hiring manager and he told me orientation would be august 27, instead of july 27 when I’ll be away :(. He wrote on my application “will be back from vacation August 2” and he put with the rest of the accepted applications and told me that I could come in the day after I come back; So hopefully I still get to work there, come the Grand opening. He seemed to like me, and I’m hoping the fact that I am fluent in Spanish is enough for him to continue to want me around (again this was something he wrote on my application)

Eh, I just like having things to do. I love my lazy time just as much, though.

How do people apply to college during the summer? Like how would they know their GPA and rank already? I want to apply asap but I don’t have my gpa, rank, or schedule…

I would imagine that they get that information beforehand by asking guidance at their HS. I’ve known my schedule for next year since late May (my GC loves me, plus anyone who has an issue [50% of the school] gets to see theirs so they can decide what they want to drop), I did a rough calculation of my GPA compared to the 5-semester one my GC gave me, plus a rough guesstimation of my class rank.

Writing my common app essay
life sucks

I can’t believe we’re seniors already! This thread has come a longgg way. I will be applying at the University of Arkansas in 5 days! I’m so excited! I can’t wait to just get this year over with and head to college!

How do we know if we have senioritis? Is it the laziness, or just the feeling that you’re ready for college, or some weird combination or both?

Tell me about it

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using CC

Lmao.

Money issues so you had to flake on a summer program you got into.

Now you’ve gotten a Galaxy Nexus.

What gives?

^Couple of things.

I said FAMILY issues not money, I am broke though.

My phone didn’t cost that much, and I got it a long time ago.

EDIT: Oh! Your talking about the speech camp. Yeah they wanted like $400+ that’s A LOT of money

I feel like I just got hit by the largest wave of senioritis ever. Besides college apps, I’ve lost any motivation at all to do anything for the next year. Honestly, at this point I feel like I could be just as happy dropping out and forming a band, haha… wouldn’t that be weird. But yeah, I’m sure I’m not the only one, right? Although tbh it will probably be better by the time school starts, at least I really hope so :P

But yeah, it would help if my school wasn’t absolutely, yeah.
