thanks for the input, federico! yeah, it’s just that word “possibly” that scares the heck outta me. same goes for the other ED’s I was looking into.

What were some of the other ED’s? And yeah to hold back and then possibly not get in wouldn’t be very good.

dartmouth has ED, so do UPenn, Cornell, and Columbia as far as ivies go. HYP have selective early action, as does Stanford, which is non-binding (which means there’s no edge in terms of admit rates, and you can still only apply to one of those privates and any rolling admission schools like UCs).

^Bluenotebook, with Duke, RD is 10% and ED is 30%. Their acceptance rate triples.

I know, it’s pretty crazy! I’m just not completely in love with Duke, and I haven’t heard amazing things about it from my friends who went there. that ED rate is definitely awesome, though

Duke does the same thing as Brown. The only required class is a freshman writing class.

Duke seems like a fantastic school, and I’d be lucky to get in, but a few of my friends have said it is a bit elitist :\ Of course it’s different from everyone, but that kind of scared me! I think a part of that high admit rate is tufts syndrome though

Indeed, imagine that! If UMD ends up being the cheapest school, i’m going to end up there.

@Floridagirl; /high five! I think that I want to end up in pediatrics someday. But you uh…only need a MSN. They want everyone to have a doctorate by 2015 but it’s probably not going to happen by then.

Did you two see this video taken at UMD? [Wakeboarding Fountain - University of Maryland - ESPN Sports Nation - YouTube](<a href=“Wakeboarding Fountain - University of Maryland - ESPN Sports Nation - YouTube”>Wakeboarding Fountain - University of Maryland - ESPN Sports Nation - YouTube)
Not sure if we can put youtube links on here, but its pretty cool.
And road test tomorrow followed by a job interview. I might have a heart attack before the day ends, no biggie.

^ Wrong UMD. I thought it was that UMD also like 4 weeks ago but if you read the rest of their conversation it’s a different school they’re talking about. SEE. Other people get confused too; I’m not crazy.

btw I’m (probably) applying to that UMD. The University of Maryland.

Also, yeah…road test…mine is a week from today. yay for being up at 3:30am

I just get tired of typing it out ;-;

let’s call U of Maryland that or UofMD.

The girl who was my bestfriend when I was little is pregnant. She’s 15 and is going to be a sophomore. She’s having a girl. I just can’t believe it.

Woops my bad lol. Didn’t even realize the name difference between the two

@1Rachel94 Wow…that’s just…wow.

Schedules are up online tomorrow… Fingers crossed that nothing is too terribly messed up :/

Yeah, kind of my reaction.

I kind of wonder if she planned it. Wen we were little, almost everything she watched had to do with teen pregnancy. When we would play with the dollhouses, she’d make the teenagers pregnant. And she’s pregnant with a couple of her friends. It makes me wonder if they had like a pregnancy pact. There were comments on the baby shower pictures asking her if she planned it and she didn’t respond.

The terrible scheduling saga continues… The reason physics wasn’t scheduled was because it conflicted with Digital Electronic Engineering, which I need to take because I’m getting this teacher to write me a recommendation. I was supposed to have her for Calc BC but then they changed up the teachers at the last minute. Meh. I’m mad. Oh yeah, so my gc threw me into Student Volunteer for my 3rd period (the ultimate slacker course), and put me into French for 8th. Not. What. I. Wanted. At all. My dream plan, backup plan, and even my emergency plan are all screwed up. BLEH. You guys should’ve seen the rant I put up on facebook, haha. It’s super long :/

Just got back from E2@MIT

Oh god, I’m so in love. )=

My schedule is…interesting. It’ll be difficult since my APs and college classes are all in the beginning of the day, but after those are done, it’s basically easy sailing from there. My schedule didn’t include my before school class or a period six for that matter, but I know it’ll be resolved by the time hard copy schedules are sent out (aka next week. OMG!) I’m just looking forward to the end of the school year. After AP exams I’ll have two academic classes and two electives with one being before school…I can totally do that! I’m sooo excited for senior year!

I’ll ask again. How much does the new tx cost?
