High School Class of 2013

School starts tomorrow. Not too happy. Plus, my mom doesn’t want me to stay up late to watch the Yankees game tonight :(

I’m just afraid I won’t get my summer work done in time

School starts on the 6th and I have:

-to finish reading this 300 page book (up to 62) and write three, two typed page logs that have to be extremely detailed and analytical - so deep that I have to research the political undertones about the book and all that crap.
-a senior project that is forcing me to write the common app essay which 1. I am not planning to use the common app 2. I would never use the essay I’m writing now 3. I hate because I’m being forced to write this essay. On my own time it would be great. I also have to do this whole chart about personal finances during college and then compare those to international rates (I honestly have no idea, my school is run by idiots).
-write a 10 page essay about the political history of GB. I realllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyy wanted China but my annoying teacher gave me England. I HATEEEEEEEEEEEEE England.

School starts in about two and a half weeks for me. A really close friend of mine is going away to college this week though, so that’s kinda sad. =/
Luckily enough, none of my three APs had summer work, so I’ll pretty much be playing video games and working on college apps.

CSIHSIS: At least you didn’t have to write your common app essay as an english assignment during the first week of APs last year! I had to.

My school gives minimal summer homework though. One book every year, and a math packet for certain classes (specifically if you’re going into either version AP Calc, but that was last year for me).

Wow I can’t believe you guys get summer assignment :/. I never had to do a summer assignment for school.

^ lucky you. I read a 300 page book for english, I’m 165 pages into a 400 page book for gov, and I have other silly assignments for the two classes I need to complete in a week.

I have to read Candide and Jane Eyre for AP Lit. I finished Candide and read 60 pages of Jane Eyre before I gave up  lol.

This is the first year I’ve ever had summer work.

Today was… Interesting. They hired new teachers this summer so I got teachers that I wasn’t expecting. I wish I had gotten the ones I expected  Nevertheless, I did end up with my math teacher from last year for calc, so that’s awesome. Anatomy is also going to be awesome.

I hung out in my APUSH teacher’s room for 1st, 2nd, and 6th periods because they don’t let you leave during your free periods on the first day. (They actually want you in the cafeteria, but I just walked out during first after I got my schedule. They didn’t notice, lol.)

@dfree,1Rachel that’s a bummer for homework in the summer. If I had homework, I don’t know what I will do because I been mostly studying for PSAT :/. Also if my school did gave homework my classmates would not probably do it;maybe that’s why teachers don’t gave it ?

Meh, a lot of kids didn’t do it. (that’s probably why this is the first year I’ve gotten summer work)

^Wait, aren’t you a senior? Why are you taking the PSAT?

Lol am a Junior :).

Lol, trying to fit in with seniors, eh? It’s k, you’re welcome here

Lol thanks  :D.

Is it truly possible to remember every book you’ve read in high school? My AP Lit teacher wants to know what I’ve read. Also, she only provided 10 (short) lines. Maybe she only wants 10?

This is a thread for seniors, bro. No 2014ers in here.

I hang out with 2014s. They’re nicer than the 2013s at my school.

It doesn’t matter if you’re friends. This is a thread for the c/o 2013.
