Schools might still be closed for tomorrow too because of the flooding.

@Rachel yeah, Ron Paul was the candidate I was referring to in my last post.

we should probably change the subject now. don’t want this thread to close

Close down Class of 2013? Never.

Muhlenberg College sent me a legit full paper application even though I’ve never expressed interest in that school. They don’t even have my probable major.

What if this thread got shut down right before be got to our 300th page…

But I can’t vote either
Not 18 till august. I’m trying to find out who my 18 year old friends are voting for, and if it’s the one I want I’m encouraging them to vote. If they’re voting the other side I explain to the how much effort it is to vote and how little difference it will make :)

^ Interesting…

Freaking Isaac…it was supposed to rain all day so I parked close to the school in the blazing sun that was supposed to turn into a gloomy sky. 330 comes not a drop of rain, and I’m punched in the face with 130 degree heat as I open my door.

Luckily for me, Isaac is supposed to miss the northeast completely.

Around this time last year we got the remains of a hurricane (which turned into a tropical storm by the time it got up here), and that was enough to flood our basement.

Also first post on page 300 is mine.

Now the thunderstorms are coming but I’m still miffed that it didn’t rain during school.

Wow…its crazy how a hurricane can just tear up an entire coast of a country.

Can you believe Isaac is coming the day Katrina hit? Or maybe the day before depending on if it hit already…?

i’ll be 17 in september… how are you guys turning 18 before jan?

Florida’s cut off is in August. Other states also have earlier cut off dates. My mom said had she known, she would’ve tested me into Kindergarten early. I’m going to be older than most people when I go to college up north.

…well…if they’re born in 94 then they turn 18 before january…

I think she means how are we seniors if we turn 18 before January because in most states the cut off is in January/December.

I’m still 16 and am going to be 17 for my first 5 months in college. Boo

That’s actually better. It sucks being older because people assume you’re stupid. If you’re younger, people assume you’re smart.

Or immature…

Federico…that sucks man…soo I assume you’ll participate in underage drinking…?

The drinking age is 21…

Ummmm, participation is key right? Just kidding but for real yes haha, comon you guys can’t all say that you haven’t started “celebrating” for senior year already. I mean atleast 90% of high school students drink. But then again, I might be one of the few people in this chat that isn’t considering Harvard or Yale :P

cutoffs in january? ours is august 1st or 31st like what.

that being said, my friend is turning 19 in march 2013, a week after I turn 18. She moved here from Korea in 2010 so i’m pretty sure they do ages differently or something like that.

in other news, why did I come back to CC…

@Federico hahahahah
cheers to that!

And everyone looked at my post like I was cray cray…

@Elleya I know this guy that’s turning 19 in November…but he got held back so…

Snap, my school is going to Peru this year.

I can bash the school all I want but we get AMAZING trips.

Since I’ve been here: Switzerland, Italy, China, Japan, Italy again, Spain, England (coming year), and Peru (coming year).

wow what, want.

this year’s trip is the spanish classes, so it’s spain.

basically, on even-numbered-ending school years, latin/french kids get to go to rome/paris (read: if you took spanish you’re not invited), while spanish kids go to spain. this past year they also threw in a trip to greece, and I know the APES classes go to costa rica for a bit in the summer.

oh wait I could never afford one of these trips, so no want.
