our school is like, 5- A in AP 4- A in normal/Honors (except for precalc, which is 5) or the unthinkable in an AP</p>

<p>My high school weighs them by 6.00 for AP’s, 5 for Honors and 4 for regular.</p>
<p>APS get .3 weight.
Phase 5 gets .2
Phase 4 gets .1</p>

<p>We have a 4.0 scale where 95-100 is 4.0, 90-94 is 3.5, etc. with nothing for honors and .4 for AP courses.</p>

<p>^custard apple. People are saying it’s a good thing because the people on this site tend to be very school oriented, meaning that they probably take a lot more AP courses than other people in their school. So it’s nice for their class rank and gpa to get an extra 2 points in an AP class than someone in a regular class.</p>
<p>yup! As well as for honors classes- that would’ve boosted my frosh gpa…</p>

<p>Regular = 4.3
Honors = 4.7
AP = 5.0</p>
<p>I could never take AP courses. But I do want to take AP Psychology.</p>
<p>^ AP Psychology is a great course…it will feel like you aren’t actually learning stuff if you like it.</p>

<p>I wouldn’t really pay attention to your weighted gpa so much for admissions but more of your class rank. If your school doesn’t rank, then your unweighted gpa matters.</p>

<p>^ same. there are some crazy smart people (actually, just kids with no life besides school…) so I wouldn’t be top 10. xD and there are only 100 kids in my grade.</p>
