We have PSSA’s in Pennsylvania, but only Juniors have to take them, and It’s only Math, Reading, Writing, and Science. They’re really nothing to freak about, as they don’t count for anything and they’re really easy.

Well your lucky we generally have to retake the class.

^^

That’s basically the ACT.

Really? Interesting, since most of the people around here don’t even know the ACT even exists lol. Our school pays for our PSAT’s and SAT’s sophomore and junior year, maybe they should start giving us the ACT as an option instead :P

Eating myself up over regents. This sounds crazy, but I’m ****ed about my 99 on the Global regents. One stupid question I blanked on. I was positive I’d get a 100 as I had on every practice test I’d taken. Ugh. I also think I got a 99 on my Spanish regents too, judging from answers I’ve seen online. I’m scared silly to find out what I got on Trig and Physics solely because I “failed” myself on the “easy” tests.

/endrant

Regents aren’t just for ny there’s a few other states with them but if you don’t pass them you can’t graduate at my school they are also our final exams so it’s kinda a big deal for us especially since finals are 20% of our final grades

Nope Jazzii I’m not applying to All ivy Leagues, actually if I do…its just for fun=)

MY dream school as of now is USC…it has the diversity, the athletics, the academics, the cuties, and the party that I want lol.
Then down the list is Stanford,
Ucla,
Columbia,
Georgetown,
Princeton,
Rice(i dont want to go but my dads from texas…soo…thats only why lol…i’m not going though…just applying for him. lol)
and then I’m applying to all the UCs i like(Irvine,SB,Davis)
oh and I might do U of Miami…

I have a lot of schools…lol

In Ohio we have the OGT, Reading, Writing, Math, Science, History

I plan to apply to OSU, NW, UPenn

we have FCAT. It’s Florida’s standardized test. But it’s easy.

We have CAPTs in Connecticut. The math is always hard…

Sent from my iPhone using CC

Ours are pretty easy I just struggled with earth science because I went in pretty sick and had to try and focus. Other than that they are pretty easy like I failed my French midterm because my teacher made it I’m pretty sure I got at least an 85 on the regents

The only standardized text we have in Ontario is the OSSLT (Ontario Secondary Schools literacy test), which you take in sophomore year to make sure all grade 10s can read and write at the grade 9 level. Most people pass with flying colours, it’s a joke.

@Loveispeac3, you think YOU have a lot of schools? I have 16 I want to apply to. And that’s only in the US - then I have my Canadian schools! And I haven’t even looked at non-audition (safety) schools yet! Of course, I’ll narrow it down to maybe 10 (audition schools) or so, but…it’s musical theatre. There’s generally about an 2-10% acceptance rate for most of the programs I’m applying for, so…I am going to have a heck of a time come senior year.

I have like… 5 American schools? and they are all top schools.

Just got done with sophomore year Monday. Taking AP History II, AP Physics B, AP Psychology for Junior year. Any advice would be appreciated.

What’s a good number of schools to apply to? I might do 9. 2 safeties, 2 matches and 5 reaches.

@usert0us I just got done yesterday next year I’m taking us history English 11 intro to trig/geometry advanced photography studio in pottery French 4 and physics
I’m deciding if I should take chem instead of physics though. What do you think?

Which science class have you taken freshman/sophomore year?

Oh and I’m taking world war 2 as well

@pentupenguin I took biology as a freshman then earth science as a sophomore then basically after that in my school you can take either chem physics forensics environmental ap bio astronomy or science research

I’m a rising Junior too! It feels weird to say that. I’m still 14 though, that might be why.

I’m aiming Ivy League, it’s always been my goal. Go check out my thread and give me some feedback, I’ll gladly do the same for any of you.

Good luck in all of your goals and hopefully the CC Class of 2013 will do great things!
