A bunch of people worked together for an English project and I worked alone. They spent like x5 the amount of time I took to finalize their projects. Guess who got the highest grade??

yeah, group projects suck…so far…

I keep telling myself that as soon as I reach junior year when the science classes are smaller and full of people that actually care, maybe I’ll actually get something done within a group.

^ I apply that rule to all my classes. But in my classes the slackers group with the slackers and the workers group with the workers. Therefore, I don’t really have a problem with group projects. Although I despise those people who want really good grades but don’t feel like doing any work…

Does anybody get irrationally angry when they’re pretty much discriminated against (best word I could use to convey what I think) for being smart? Like in my bio class, there’s a clear group of kids who are the smart ones (some of whom are my friends) and we’re not allowed to team up with each other when we play games or do group projects together. It really infuriates me. We have to be doled out to each team like an object or something.

The problem is that even when others want to do the work, I’m a perfectionist and everything has to be perfectly the way I want it. So I do it all myself. That’s why people always want to get with me.

^ me too! Even if they’ve finished it I keep feeling its not good enough and end up redoing the entire project

Lol last group project I was in, I was with some pretty reliable people, but when they did the project I was in NYC so I couldn’t work on it. So I decided to let someone else take the load for once (they insisted). They made this pretty awful video and we got a 95 and I kind of pitched a fit about it lol. I felt really bad about it though so I apologized and said I’d do the next one anyways :)

I am done with 9th grade

🙆 Yes, I just overused emoji’s.

Four more school days.

10 more school days.

One month of school left. :(

Same @Morse15… Wow I’m so jealous of all the people getting out in a couple days or already out.

Finals next week

please every1 pray to the gods the believe in for me to get 100, this literally like the last straw of hope for me

Good luck @TeenDream, my finals are in two weeks and I really really need to pass my Spanish final. It’s my only hope of passing the class. I have a D right now but I can barely keep up with all the assignments that we have. Two this week and I’m a day behind on one of them, and, it’s due at the end of the period tomorrow.

@Morse15 same here! I don’t get out until late June

Hey guys!
I was hoping if you could give me some advice?
Im currently in one of the best public high schools in my country but it has no APs or IB at all. So now I’m accepted to a really good private school that only has IB but they’re making me skip a grade and be a junior instead. I’m definitely not as smart as all the CCers here.
Would it be really stupid to skip a grade??
Sorry for the long post!

Danggg itttt, I have all 100s except a freakin 99 now! I feel so stupid!

I’m on summer break now! Woohooooo!!! I (miraculously) ended up getting straight A’s, although I somehow got a C on my gym final…it was a multiple choice test so I don’t know how it happened, but since I had a high average it didn’t affect my grade. I have no idea what I’m gonna do this summer…

whostolemycookie - Personally, I would transfer and skip a grade. Not only would it look good on applications but you’ll also be able to take more challenging classes!

Anyone have exciting summer plans? :D

@whostolemycookie, I go to a private school too. I’m in senior/junior science and math classes because i don’t know why but i’d be super bored in regular/honors classes. I would say go for it, because you would be bored in sophomore classes and it’s better to challenge yourself intellectually!!!
