High school class of 2016

In eighth grade we took a Pre-PSAT. Instead of every subject being out of 80 like on the PSAT, it was out of 8. Then in 9th grade we had to take PLAN and in sophomore year we take the PSAT. My school offers both the ACT and SAT but I think I’ll take the SAT.

lol so wait you guys are all rising sophomores? Oops, I’m a rising freshman. Derp.

Taking my first AP classes in the fall… kinda nervous.

What did you all get on the ACT PLAN (those of you who took it in 9th grade)?

I got a 27 which was apparently the highest score for the freshman class. Odd.
Breakdown:
English- 27
Mathematics- 29
Reading- 25
Science- 27

Yep then the EOCT comes up. Which by the way, some of it is going to be replaced with the Perkins Assessment or something like that. Basically, changing some multiple choice questions into free response.

Wouldn’t it be risky to take the ACT if you already got a good SAT score? Or vice versa? Some unis–Stanford and all UCs I believe-- require that you turn in all test scores, so say you take the SAT and get a 2400 (this is an example y’all) and decide to take the ACT just for kicks and because you’re cocky and think you’ll get a 36. But you end up getting like a 1 (once again, this is an example).

It’d have been better if you had just taken the SAT instead of having to turn in that crap ACT score to the uni as well. Am I right or?

Got my AP scores last night for World History AP! I got a 3…I AM SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!! I know I could have done a lot better in my class. I also think that I would need to prepared an extra week more but most of the content on the test was straight out weird! I did 2 practice test and I got a 4 on the first one and a 5 on the second one but the practice test was not at all like the real test!

Anyways, who took Human Geo AP? On the Human Geo AP test, I would like to earn at least a 4 on it! Can anyone give me advice?

If you actually learn something in AP Human Geography then you’ll get a 4 or 5 on the exam.

Isn’t the highest possible score you can get on the PLAN a 25? That’s what my counselor told me…

@annbern - If you already did so well on the SAT, I wouldn’t take the ACT. There’s no point and it’s risky. But if you think your score is mediocre, then by all means retake it or take the ACT.

The highest is apparently a 32 on the PLAN.

I got a 27 on the PlAN but I know a few people who got 29’s

^^^25 is the highest possible score on the Explore test.

@swinter - Ahh, thanks for clearing that up, I don’t even know what tests I take. :P

So, anyone take the Explore? If so, what did you get?

I’ve had to take the Explore test three times for school. The first time I think my composite score was like 22, and somehow I did worse the second time:

(1) English
23
(3) Math
19
(4) Reading
22
(5) Science
19
(7) Composite
21

Then just a few months ago I took this year’s Explore test, and I don’t know what I got on it but I sort of slacked off because only the first time really counted for something.

I took the Explore in eighth grade. 25.

Composite: 22
English: 24
Math: 23
Reading: 21
Science: 21

I never got my explore test results

Welcome! And 200 pages! :D

Spam posts until 201? Hahaha xD
