Who all here will be taking the PSAT this fall? I’m going to.

I already took a practice PSAT and I am going to take another one later on this summer. I think the PSAT might be mandatory for my class

In my school the PSAT is mandatory for 9th, 10th, and 11th graders. BTW, if you guys took it last year, what score did you get?

I’ll be taking the PSAT this fall. I also took it in eighth grade. Hoping to pull it up from a 173 after two years of learning more stuff.

The highest possible grade on the PSAT is a 240, right? Is it harder to get that on a PSAT than a 2400 on the SAT, or about the same?

can somebody help me out? my teacher wants me to run for DECA president this upcoming school year. does anybody know what you do in each DECA meeting? i know its about marketing/business but i don’t know what kinds of activities you do in that club. thanks!

Your SAT scores are generally a bit higher than your PSAT.

…and I know nothing about DECA, sorry!

How is everyone doing?

Haha. Good!

I’m back from volunteering in Canada!

^Cool! What did you do there?

My youth group went to a street that was living in poverty and held a kids camp for the kids living there. It was really fun!

How do people find opportunities like that? I can never find anything

You can find a lot of big volunteering through church Youth groups.

Woohoo 2016
not a frosh anymore!!!

Can someone explain to me about the national merit achievements when you take the PSAT. What score would be considered good?

95% of the kids at my school were made fun of for being a freshmen. I never was and I still haven’t figured out why.

@Easysafe: it depends on your state. I would guess that 220 is a good “safe zone”

@Mech: That’s odd…nobody I know was actually made fun of for being a freshman.

It’s just a typical thing at my school. Typical suburban kids that think they’re everything.

@TheAtlantic thanks!
