High school class of 2016

I got a binder for every class because that’s what they all wanted last year

  • new highlighters (lost last years)
    -pencils
  • pens (red and black)
  • one new book cover because I had a few from previous years
  • binder dividers for French or any other class
  • hole reinforcers (for French papers from last year that ripped but are still helpful)
    -index cards
  • planner (school gives one but I prefer either 5 star or plan ahead)
    Backpack

Things I already had
-pencils case
-scissors
-mini stapler
-lunch box
-some index cards
-loose paper

  • thumb drive
-Post it’s and post it page tabs
Thinks that’s it. maybe some tape

I have a three hole punch in room that I use, but generally you can do that stuff in class.

I am actually going to put the effort in to make a bulleted list because the topic of school supplies calls for me being a tryhard.

It’s tax free weekend here so my goal is to go tomorrow. I’m trying to clean my room and backpack to see what I can re-use for next year.

Okay so I want to do apply for an internship but the problem is that I haven’t found a program that I’m eligible for since I’m only 15…can someone help me please!!

There really isn’t anything you can do at 15.

Absolute minimum is 16.

Just wait, colleges won’t blame you for it.

A job could be a substitute.

I don’t want to be ‘spammy’ or anything. But can you guys check out my recent thread about my classes?

I know that feel, my dream job “deferred” me because my birthday was off by a few months from the deadline

Hmm…I guess I’ll wait till next year hahaha

you can do research at a lab…

my friend was able to pull strings and get an internship at a pharma company, idk how though

Hey guys, class of '15er here, and I’m in the same boat as you in terms of internships/jobs :frowning:
I technically should be in the class of '16, but since I skipped a grade, I get stuck with being younger than everyone and ineligible for everything.
It’s worse for me than for you, because at least you’ll be able to do something during the summer before your junior year. I got stuck with hospital volunteering, and now I only have one summer of cool stuff (next summer) before going off to college. Smh.

How did you get the hospital job?

Most large hospitals will let you search their site; just type volunteering and the first few links should be good

just wonderin, but are you guys applying for any awards/competitions this year? did you guys win any freshman year?

NHD, Science Bowl, It’s Academic TV show, Model Un, and Mock Trial (I’m trying out next year for witness) None of my teams won last year, but I did get third at States for National History Day because of my documentary (it won counties).

Almost done with summer reading! School starts Monday :disappointed_relieved: Summer went by way too fast. For the first time, I didn’t really get bored. If I was bored, I enjoyed it…not having to do anything.

Almost done with summer homework. Now I can focus on AP World and Japanese.
