What AP review books do you guys like? Princeton Review doesn’t work for me that well.</p>

<p>There’s definately a lot more work and study this year but I think I’ll be okay. It’s Day 2 of AP Gov and we had a pop quiz but it was the same quiz online from the summer assignment and it was open notes.</p>
<p>it’s been a lot of work in the past two days but it’ll be fun. in my school sophomores are only allowed taking AP World History but I got into AP Psych through knowing some people… both the AP teachers are push-overs but Honors Physics is going to be tough.</p>
<p>@theHYP Lucky! I wish I could take AP Phsych, I’m not allowed to take it, My school doesn’t let me. How exactly did you convince them?</p>
<p>@say5256, the dean of students is a family friend, and I’m very close with the AP director and principals. But if you want to take it just get reccomendations from prior social studies or science teachers.</p>

<p>@say - For AP World, I’m really liking the 5 Steps to a 5 (by McGraw Hill, I believe).</p>
<p>Well, my school is using Middlebury for it’s Spanish program. Which is good, cause I only had a semester’s worth of Spanish last year and didn’t study hard enough over the summer. So about 1 1/2 years worth of Spanish crammed into one. Here comes nothing.</p>
<p>3rd week of school, already sleep deprived… Wait til you guys start to really get into it. It will make you miss being a freshman, and I thought I’d never EVER think that.</p>
<p>Highschool2016, I worry about having the worse math teacher in my school and the worst science teacher in my school because they can’t teach, but my other classes shouldn’t be too hard.</p>
<p>I miss freshman year. I miss my lack of homework and having my friends in my classes. I’m in my sixth week of school and the only good thing is that I’m taking some interesting classes.</p>
<p>Day 3 and the workload is already starting to increase…I just hope I don’t burnout soon.</p>

I thought that the workload for freshman and sophomore year will be sort of similar… I know that it will be harder in sophomore year but not that much harder lol I guess I’m really wrong :’( I’ll be happy if I just get to sleep at 12 and manage to get straight A’s haha But then that’ll mean less of Facebook D: I decided to do a GPA bet with someone so I need to win him, and we agreed that the loser has to do something super embarrassing but funny on Facebook. I get embarrassed easily, so this bet will really motivate me :)</p>
<p>I start school in exactly a week from today! I can’t wait! I’m just really worried for my history class though; I’m learning European history this year and I am really weak with that. But I’m already over prepared for algebra 2, so everything else hopefully won’t be as bad…</p>

<p>@imhkim it’s really bad…I went through freshman year all cheerful and motivated, and it’s only the third day of sophomore year and I’ve thought about dropping my advanced classes ten times. I mean, I won’t, but that doesn’t mean that I’m not going to think about it. I have the same amount of homework tonight that I would in one week freshman year. </p>
<p>@catchinginfinity thanks a lot…I’m taking AP World this year and I’m nervous because it’s supposed to be one of the hardest exams. Any advice is amazing.</p>
<p>@oonawong - I’m taking AP World and it’s pretty tough for me, too, since history isn’t really my strong suit. ): Did you take a “pre-AP World” class or AP World I in 9th grade? In most schools I know, it’s a two year course, but from your post it seems that you just started in 10th grade!</p>
<p>Lol wow. I’ve been getting anywhere between ~3-5 hours of sleep since school started (early last week/late the week before that)… and I almost fell asleep in English. My teacher got so mad ahahah. Well that’s one teacher I won’t be able to ask for a rec- /shot Not that I even need any recs, seeing as it’s soph year, but yeah. I swear the teacher hates me now. He gave me this threatening glare like omg.</p>
<p>@catchinginfinity I did start in the 10th grade, at my school there’s no such thing as a pre-AP World History class 
I wish it was a two year course though, the whole thing consists of a lot of information to digest.</p>
