High School Class of 2019

I did not, my pride did not allow me to get a B. I am working towards having a 4.8-9gpa by the end of the year, I already have a 4.5gpa It should be relatively easy. This year is going to be a breeze. 10th grade is going to be hell.

The school will have all 10th graders taking AICE General Papers, AICE Travel and Tourism (Not me, I wanted to be in Pre-AICE Mathematics 3, Algebra 2), AICE Marine, AICE International, AICE Thinking Skills (Not as easy as it seems) I will be in AICE Math 1 instead of travel and tourism, kill me now. I am getting a head ache just thinking about that. :’( :’( :’( :’( Why did I sign up for this program again XD

I did not make a B either, as I am striving for straight A’s throughout high school. My GPA is a 4.375, (three honors, PE). Next semester, it will be a 4.5 (four honors). My cumulative GPA will be a 4.4375 at the end of the year. :smiley:

I didn’t make a B. I’m pretty chill about grades but I would be slightly disappointed if I did get one. I’m not getting too much homework and I find my classes pretty easy so far.

Yeah in my school freshmen didn’t really have a reason for getting any Bs. All honors classes are so easy and they barely give any homework out. I usually only have 1 hour of hw a day with honors and regular. Now, for AP that’s another thing. I don’t think any freshmen at my school are taking any AP classes other than AP US History. It’s a fun class but the workload is so heavy. I have like 2-5 hours of hw in APUSH a day. That was my only B. :frowning: but I’m gonna try to bring it up this quarter. My unweighted GPA was 3.85 this quarter. Quarter GPAs are unweighted at my school. The semester ones are weighted, though.

Hi

Hi @TrainerGary are you class of 2019?

No I’m Class of 2020

JK Yes I am @Nickarch

@chrisWithaT Good job! I was only disappointed because I was one point from getting an A in the class I got a B in. It’s a great GPA.

@IrrationalPepsi That’s good! My school doesn’t give us extra credit for honors classes. :confused: Only for APs. I am not allowing myself to get any Bs this quarter XD. And lucky for those with little homework! I had six at papers to do for my honors English class, which meant lots of rough drafts. -_- I feel like the reason I got a B in math was because I was trying too hard in everything else.

I was getting in the car earlier and I was thinking, “Wow, I just went to a competition where I solved logic problems for fun. On a Saturday. I am THE stereotypical highly motivated, college-bound kid.” And then I realized that I was going to a climbing competition. Maybe not, lol.

@melloswideworld aww that sucks! :-w
You’ll get it next time!

@chrisWithaT thanks, hopefully I do! :slight_smile:

We started the geometry part in Math II today, and it is definitely weird. Last year we just did volume, but now we have to prove stuff and I do not like it. :((

Proving was so fun. Although it was stupid at times.

I hated geometry proofs, trig proofs are way more fun.

@IAmNotCreativ How are trignometric proof different from geometric?

And isn’t trig technically geometry?

Trig ones make more sense…the geometry is just stuff you have to memorize. Plus, the identities are sort of puzzles. The geometric proofs just make me cry

We are doing proofs in Geometry now and I hate them. What’s the point of doing them anyways?
