We have finished all of the course material in my second and fourth period class, and we’re almost done in math. Probability is the last unit left (next week). Noooooo
@IrrationalPepsi What math?
I’m not completely screwed over! I got a 90 on the spoken portion!
I’m in Math II (Geometry and Algebra 2) right now. Next semester I’ll be in Math III.
So, apparently I have SO MUCH free time that I became a Senior Member in under 4 months. Yikes.
@awesomepolyglot wtf, I’ve been on CC for almost a year and I’m still a new member.
@awesomepolyglot
Congrats on the German test!
I’ve been on CC for like a year and I only have 400 posts -_-
Yo, all. I’ve been lurking on CC for a while (mostly on the MIT boards >.>), but I just found this thread!
MY PEOPLE.
A little late in the year, but here’s my Freshman schedule for this last semester:
American History/English 9
Biology/Health
The Novel (an 11th-grade English class I slipped into since there was nothing else)
Algebra II
Spanish 2
PLTW IED (Introduction to Engineering and Design)
Next semester, The Novel cycles to Women Writers for the rest of the year.
Note: I go to a teensy little school, part of the New Tech Network (if that means anything). Believe it or not, this is the most rigorous courseload I can get!
The school claims all their courses are honors-material/workload; you should take that how you will.
@OMPursuit welcome! I’m doing IED too! My teacher is very chill and he is kinda of a hippie. XD
Aah, cool! My teacher’s got a hippie bent to him, too. Maybe it’s part of the job description? o.o
Have you guys made your puzzle cubes yet? :3
I just got my puzzle cube done. I hate IED. My techer looks like lord Farquaad and my god she can’t teach. She makes me fall asleep every single day. I’m like failing that class rn but my grade should go up soon.
We started inventor today actually
Oh, sweet! I did so-so in the beginning (technical draaawing), but (the math-nerd I am :B) pulled into an A as we went through statistics and unit conversions.
A bad teacher just ruins the whole experience. Have you considered finding video lectures online? I think IED is technically an intro college-level course, so you should be able to find a not-sucky teacher and catch up a bit.
@Giovuhnni “looks like lord Farquaad” made me laugh so hard
Oh I also sat next to one of my best friends so we talked and talked during the conversion unit. I still don’t know how to convert Imma pray to get an A in that part of the exam [-O<
My IED teacher from last year adored me.
He would always get super upset at anyone who ate, drank or chewed gum in class, but if I ate in class he literally did not care and proceeded to dock points from other kids who dared chew gum.
Also, the idea that any woman might look like Lord Faarquad is a frightening one. 8I
For conversions, none of it is so bad as it looks. It’s just some more algebra, so long as you remember your rates.
My puzzle cube was super lame, by the way. Solving puzzles wasn’t a huge deal for me growing up, and making puzzles was like a black art. XP
Yeah I’m totally not going into POE
To tell you the truth, I want to be in there already!
On the other hand… I don’t have Farquaad. XP
Is PLTW over by you the same here, where the same instructor does all of it? XP
