@OMPursuit We aren’t there yet, we are on activity 3.4 as of now and my teacher is fair and actually really nice. He cut his hair though and so we spend much of our period telling him to grow his hair back and making jokes that he can actually defend instead of doing our work. XD Conversions are a struggle though and I still don’t know then so I don’t even know how I will survive them in the unit test.
So, I didn’t make Midstate. Now I have to take the midterm in orchestra. Bleh.
3.4! We’re on the tail end of unit 4, just getting our portfolios ready. I’m real excited to get into the projects near the year’s end.

And if you’re up for videos, Khan Academy is a good option. Plus, its practice problems are real quality stuff (even when the videos aren’t).

Purplemath is also great, but I’m lazy
No but legit when I saw the first chair bassist this morning he was like “if I even get in midstate I’ll be so surprised I’ll probably be an alternate” and now it’s looking like he’ll be first chair for All-State. I’m kind of jealous; both of his brothers also made mid-state, and I’m just sitting here dreading my midterm :-p
Holy crap! I know I’m only like 3-4 years older than you guys, but that still makes me feel old… And I looked so different back then… wow. Growing up sucks.
And to think, polyglot still has six times your posts!
Geeezer :L
Also, midstates! Jeez. I gave up on going anywhere huge with my violin (screeeeeech) years ago, 'cuz music here is way too competitive.
Wait, what emoji was that? See, I’m old, and I can’t figure out emojis.
On another note, I just heard that part of a Star Wars trailer where Rey says “B-88, hold on!” and I’m just like “lady, your robot is a sphere, how’s it gonna hold onto anything?”
I know, right? 'Cept, Star Wars isn’t exactly the haaardest sci-fi. They probably have… ultra-super-conducter-sand-grabbing-polymer-plastic something-or-other.
Obviously. >.>
The emoticon is… uh, It’s : + L. There! That works.
:L interesting.
I’m really excited for Star Wars, but not nearly as much as my English teacher. He’s going to the midnight premiere in full costume, lol. He has a “shrine” to the new movie on a whiteboard.
This is excellent.
I’ve technically got three English teachers (GAK). One of them dyed his goatee rainbow-barf-colored, and another has a bunch of tattoos she keeps covered (most of the time). :L
Wait, why 3?
One for the Novel, two for the combined American History/English 9 honors
Edit: Oh my what, two minutes apart? What is this, IRC? o.o
We call her Farquaad looking a**
So do you guys know each other in real life or what?
Nope, never met these guys before… yesterday. Stranger danger!
I blame society.
Some of the people on this thread go to the same schools. At least 3(?) people go to a certain high school in the DelMarVa, and @stefanmichael and I go to the same school in Tennessee.
Ack- Maybe I’m just weird. o,o
None of the freshmen at my school are motivated enough to come on this site!
So for a week my county holds a book festival where they sell perfect condition library books for dirt cheap. Literally a football-field sized room filled with more than 10,000 books for nothing. I spent hours looking and I got 2 giant boxes filled with books for $6!! SO HAPPY. I love Raleigh. and books.
I like to read, but I am very picky about my books. I cannot just pick up a random book and read it.
@adiacs I’m so jealous!
