High School Class of 2020

Anyone applying to any magnet highschools or boarding schools? I really want to go to either the Academy of Aerospace and Engineering, University High School of Science and Engineering or Loomis. I think that I can only go to AAE because life hates me and the UHSSE bus comes at 6:51 at a random place. Apart from the applications, even if I do get in, I don’t know if they will count the geometry I’m taking this year as proof based geometry. My school just calls it high honors geometry.

detail your lives here pls

I don’t envy anyone who graduates high school in 2020.

@AMan236 this thread is just for people to detail the important things going on at school/life. just because i said that i do geometry doesnt mean i want you to envy me ok

@bawbdmo

I meant for my comment to be more self deprecating, but oh well. I was just joking saying how much I’m glad I’m done with high school showing how lazy I have become.

@AMan236 oh, sorry about my reply. yeah, i understand, school sucks and i can’t wait for it to end, but at the same time, i can’t wait for highschool to start :frowning: i couldn’t do any of the ecs that I wanted to do because chamber orchestra is on Wednesday and the only interesting ec is on Wednesday too. life sucks

Me: sees thread
Me: It has begun

@awesomepolyglot quickly someone make a class of 2021 thread!

Can middle schoolers, like, just go outside and play some games or smth?

@basedchem i refuse

oh…

Yeah, you guys should be doing something other than worrying that you’re not taking 3 APs next year. Chill. Relax. Chillax and look at cat memes or something.

Y’all have a good graduation year, I must admit. I kind of envy 2020 over my 2017 graduation year.

Wow I can’t believe the thread has already been made. You have a year of middle school left, enjoy it. DO NOT stress out about high school, its too early for that. If I have one good tip, its pick a subject you like and comitt yourself to it in evrry way possible (extracurricularly as well as through classes.)

STAHPIT YOU’RE ALL TOO YOUNG

Should I choose STEM next year in high school or just go regular? There are limited number of students allowed in STEM at high school. Would I be at disadvantage if I don’t apply for STEM or don’t get selected? Any tips or advise from undergrads who opted out for STEM at their high school and now regret or no regrets at all?

I remember last year I forced myself to wait until February to start the class of 2019 thread.

I made the draft like 4 months before.

You’re probably not going to see anyone else in the class of 2020 until May.

@random2020 Are you interested in STEM? Don’t do things you’re not interested in. If you’re a Tennessee resident and you’re talking about focus areas, calm down. In most places, it does not matter at all. I have 3, lol.

@IAmNotCreativ i made this thread because we pick our schedules in February so i wanted to be the first one to make it
first.

Do you have any idea what your classes will be next year?

@IAmNotCreativ
high honors english 9, algebra 2, history and integrated science.
electives: strings and honors computer science
& thats it
