<p>I'm mostly interested in english essays, and others since I already know the major science competitions like intel and siemens... </p>

<p>If you tell me what you want to major in, I can find you scholarship competitions easily through a program that my high school uses.</p>
<p>Haha, there's always the Ayn Rand essay contest....which gives money. But you'd better be a pretty dedicated Objectivist before you even try. Or at least be able to fake it.</p>
<p>Colleges may or may not factor in such awards depending on the contest; qualifying for the USAMO will be regarded highly but smaller competitions will not.</p>
<p>fastweb.com has some stuff. its for scholarships but they are competitions.</p>
