I didn't think it was cocky...I mean, when you combine acceptances and deferrals, it's basically an 80/20 chance. It's natural to think you'll be in that 80, especially on CC. It's not like he/she said, I'm sure I'll be accepted.

How do you know they called? o.o

My guess is they had some questions and wanted to get a feel from your counselor about you- AP scores may have been the reason they called but they probably got more out of the conversation than that. I know they do check on people- they have to especially for those on the bubble. I'd say a good sign though.

bump, I want to know how that person knows they called

They probably just asked. Or their counselor told them. Does it really matter?

kind of, because the thing is your counselor is not supposed to tell you if they contacted the school. Besides, in my school, it is not the role of the counselor to report scores for you.
It does matter

yale contacted my school and asked for my second semester 12 week grades - im not sure what that means..

wow I really hope they didn't ask for my quarter grades...I had 3 B's :(

see how would you know that?

the guidance department told me because they need my permission to send the grades.. promise.

1) It doesn't matter.
2) It doesn't matter
3) It doesn't matter.
4) It would only matter to you if you had something to hide or something. Who cares if they know that their counselors recieved a call. That's like worrying about if your neighbor got their citibank bills.

imo, Counselors have the right to tell students if colleges contacted them. It's not like it's going to change anything anyways and it might just alleviate some stress from the student.
