I'm also a freshman, but ur schedule seems like a good one to me. Now, is the max classes taken five at ur school? If not, that might be something that college admissions might look down upon. If you have the option of taking more than five classes you definately should. Other than that, looks great!

we only have six in a day in my school. The reason I put five for freshman was because I took a basic foods class and a keyboarding class to fufill a graduation req. And for Sophomore, I have to take art to fufill another requirement.

I realise it might change but we had to fill out a four-year plan for our school, which i think is dumb beacause most people will change their courses.

It's awesome that you've gone ahead and planned what you want your classes to be in the future. That being said, however, don't confine yourself to that schedule for the rest of your high school career. Different oportunities are going to arise and you may decide that certain classes aren't for you. Your passions now aren't going to be identical in a few years.

you may also want to look into what requirements your school/school district has for graduating. Economics, government, regional studies, PE, etc are all examples

I agree with other comments...I'm a senior now and my schedule has unded up completely diametrical to what I had thought about Freshman year. I had all kinds of dreams about being a math major and taking Calc, etc. Now, I've been accepted to colleges as an English major and I didn't make it past Algebra 2 because I hate math so much.

I didn't even consider English until junior year when I started taking extra English electives and I had some amazing teachers who completely inspired me.

Anyway, I'm just saying that you cannot confine yourself to a concrete four-year plan. Also, I really wouldn't take earth science Freshman year if I were you. There are a lot of colleges (especially UCs) who don't really look very highly on it as a class--at least that's what I've been told. I would go for bio as a Freshman. It's a tough class to take your first year of high school, but it really puts you in the best position when it comes to later science courses and your college applications.

Anyway, good luck in high school! Just have fun and don't bind yourself to this course list--you may discover passions and interests along the way that are completely new and different to you.

I totally agree that planing a schedule in way advanced is not good. I thought that I would be taking entirely different classes when I was a freshman. Every semester my proposed schedule changes a little because I find little loop holes or hear that a teacher who teaches a class is horrible, that is why I am not taking AP Bio, the teachers sucks.

Classes can be not offered, teacher might hate you, friends might be in other class, you've lost all motivation, class scheduling may overlap, might destroy your GPA along the line, might not want to go to pre med later, priorities may change, you might move to another place... these are some of the things that may happen.

However your schedule is competitive. Looks similar to the one my tennis captain had, he got into UCLA, and probably also Cal.

thanks for all the replys everyone. I would have skipped Earth Science, but we had to take it for some odd reason, but its ok because i really like the teacher and he has two sons that are seniors and he gives us really good advice for college things.
