I'm planning to take Calculus I (basically ap calc a/b) over the summer at the local community college because I want to have that extra-practice/head start before I do ap calc b/c senior year. Also, one of my reasons is because back in sophomore year, I got a "C" in alg. 2/trig. 1st semester, but since then I've improved so much in math and have gotten one B and A's up to today (pre-calc).

However, my school doesn't consider the college class as an "honors/ap". It used to do that but it stopped because of some stupid reason. If I take this class, my GPA is gonna take a tiny, microscopic hit, but shouldn't be devastating.

So, should I still take the class? Do you think colleges/universities will see that its clearly a college class despite being only given a 4.0 (regular class) instead of a 5.0 (honors/ap)? And part of my reason is that I want to show them that I'm not stupid at math and the "C" was just a fluke ^^

Thanks!
