High school foreign language requirements for colleges?

I am currently in 11th grade. During middle school I took Italian 1 and 2 in middle school. However, they weren't offered at my high school, so I had to start over and take Spanish 1 and 2. I am currently taking Spanish 3 and I simply don't like the class. This is mainly because of my Spanish 1 and 2 teacher taught me nothing. Since most colleges recommend 4 years of foreign language, I am wondering if I fulfill this requirement by my Italian and Spanish. I kind of want to drop Spanish to take different classes. I am in a magnet program that focuses on math and science so this class won't really help me in the future. What I'm really asking is whether dropping this class is smart and whether my Italian and Spanish fulfills requirements set by most colleges.
