High School friends?

Do you still keep in contact with all (or even most?) of your friends?? How??

Not many. I keep in touch with around... 4-6 people. It honestly varies.

just forget them... You'll get a lot more in college. :)

I only talk to about 2 of my high school friends all the time. If I run into people (such as at this year's graduation ceremonies-- I only went b/c my cousin was graduating though) I'm happy to stop and catch up with them if they were actually my friends in HS (I'll happily give a cold stare to the biotches that were mean to me and try to act nice now).

I really have so many new friends now that it doesn't bother me that I don't talk to that many people from hs. College friends are so much better because you actually pretty much live with them and you have the same interests and/or views on stuff most of the time. I know I spent/spend more time with my college friends even now during the summer (my college is only 30-35 minutes from my hosue) than I do with HS friends.

There's a group of seven of guys (counting myself) who has always been really close from my HS, and we still talk to each other/see each other all the time even now that we've had diplomas for a whole year. I also talk to some of the underclassmen of my day a lot. So I'd say probably about 12 people out of my HS are still close to me.

At my HS, that is actually pretty common. I read an article about the guy who spoke at graduation last night, and it said that he still talks to his HS friends even though he's been out of HS for 25 years. My school was small and close-knit.

You'll try to keep in touch, but inevitably you'll drift apart gradually. You're no longer in the same place, and you no longer know all the same people or do all the same things. You see each other infrequently. It's just natural.

You can still get together on holidays, though. It's nice to have a couple of drinking buddies for when you get back. These people are no longer active members of your life, but that's kind of nice, because then you can tell them about things and get an objective opinion.

Most people here stay pretty close to their high school friends for a while after graduation. Facebook helps with this a lot, and you are still living at home 5 months of the year so you might as well stay friends with them.
