What's up, I'm a high school senior about to graduate in June(college undecided seeing as I haven't got letters back). I just wanna know the difference of girls in high school and girls in college. I haven't had much luck with girls in high school. Partly it was me being shy, but as I opened up I realized how these girls are. At my school, a lot of the girls are: immature, snobby, self-centered, don't know what they want, only date skinny guys(ima big dude, played tackle for football team), always in drama, you know, all caught up in that typical high school BS. I'm tired of them. In fact, the girl I'm dating now is a freshman at Meredith College. What I'm trying to get at is that I'm over high school girls, and ready for the college ones. Anybody felt the same way? How do you think the girls differ at the next stage?

I think college guys are a lot different than high school guys as well.. i suppose its just a process of maturing so sooner or later those high schoolers will become college kids and then maybe they'll grow up a little

Great post.

The same thing happens to me but it has been my decision. I think the reason is because I am boring as they call it. I mean, I go to school and only focus on classes and when I am not interested on the class (ex: IB HoA) then I just read programming books or do AP Calc hw. I never really worried about it because I just wanted to excel and I knew in College I'd get my share. I know I will have lots of fun in Miami.

Since Im a Senior myself I dont have any experience with college girls but im optimist that things will change regarding girls being so immature.

I think it's more a result of the immature/stupid ones being the ones who are more likely to not go on to college.

(optional flamebait: and the immature/stupid ones that do make it become frat boys).

\ducks and runs

I'm not in college, but a friend of mine said this on the matter:

"You go to college, and then you realize that those females you liked in high school, those were girls. Now that you're in college, these are women."

Although that could mean physically as much as anything.

I take it you think this relationship with the Meredith College freshman is on its last legs? Or is this one of those "open" relationship thingies?

I dont know about that, Girls in MY HS were alot more like women then then sorority beer/hard liquor drinking, coke snorting sluts that go to my college. Plus the ones in My HS were 10000000000X hotter. Plus like all the girls at my school dress like they are bums, with ragity sweat pants and those ****ing Ugg boots, they don't touch boys and they are all lesbians because they are to Good, I guess thats what they believe.

Hahahaha, that's unbelieveable - I guess the emo/scene band influence on of culture has become pervasive in some parts. Trust me, in most places, the situation would be the reverse for you.

"I take it you think this relationship with the Meredith College freshman is on its last legs? Or is this one of those "open" relationship thingies?"

No, we just got back together. I'm just saying when I'm about to get to college I might decide to let each other see other people. I might not wanna bring sand to the beach, but that depends on our relationship.

I liked HS girls better. They dressed nicer, were nicer, held way better conversations, weren't into all the booze/drugs the college ones are, and were much more awesome in general.

Sure, there are some nice girls on college campuses, but they're few and far between. But the last girl I ever had the hots for was at my HS.

College girls aren't any less superficial, except for ugly ones, because they can't be as superficial.

No HOT girl will date you unless you are good looking/rich/have some sort of status.

College girls (at least at my college) have a higher average attractiveness, but other than that they're mostly the same as high school girls (personality/behavior-wise). Still, there is MUCH less drama.
By the way I'm talking about freshmen. I don't know yet how they are in general as upperclass(wo)men.

I think that in general, college kids are more attractive because they have a greater sense of self. Not because they wear less makeup, or whatever the myths are about why "college girls are better." This is probably more true after freshman year...

My favorite thing about this post is that it doesn't include any gross generalizations.

I've had infinite times more success in College (can't divide by zero haha... but then again I went to all boys-school).

College dating is polarized: there's the people who hookup all the time with random people, and then there's the couples who want to get married and dedicate themselves to each other forever.

I think both extremes suck - meeting people when you're drunk and fooling around gets old, and I'm not looking to get married until my 30's, nor dedicate myself to someone and miss out on the rest of college. So, if you're like me, and want something fun and casual but still exclusive, good luck.

I blame it on the fact that if you have a boyfriend/girlfriend in college, they're usually never more than 10 minutes away walking.

Oh, and if you're gay, it's even worse - from my experience gay couples in college are few and far between, it's all about hooking up.

EDIT: I ran a bit off-topic. College girls are better because they're less catty, but there's still too many average girls running around thinking they're hot stuff.

Con-con:

Those high school girls graduate and go to college, too...

Yeah, plenty of them in college too. Sorry to disappoint you.

Girls in college like to show off without saying they do. They go to clubs and bars and take picturess of themselves dancing only with their friends and acting all fake-gangsta while they kiss each other. They are such teases. Don't give them the satisfaction of talking to them. Instead, your silence speaks louder than words. They try to get your attention while they contemplate why you don't fall into their trap of giving them compliments. Forget it, man. College is lame.

All girls are dumb and alcoholic. If she girl isn't, she's ugly.

Uh oh. This is going to turn into another thread where guys express their opinions then a couple female posters will come and insult and sling mud.
