hey there CCs,
does da common app wants your current gpa or your overall gpa? for example, if I am applying for college in my senior year, does my counselor write down my current gpa or da combined gpa of my 9-12th grade? oh, And is da valedictorian a student who has da highest gpa overall his 4 years of high school?:)

Your combined GPA. The valedictorian is usually the student with the highest cumulative GPA, but different schools have varying policies.

…the…not da…the damnit

^blow me.

Also, why do colleges like unweighted more than weighted? I took a **** of a lot of APs, which is why I didn’t get straight A’s, but they’re not really going to see that with just UW GPA…

Well, unweighted GPA helps them see your GPA without really taking course rigor into consideration (after all, AP’s are weighted heavily). But I personally don’t think UW is given more weight (hahahah, see what I did there?); it’s just that the way schools calculate the weighted gpa is different from one high school to another, so the UW gpa provides a little more standardization.
