High School GPA

Hi,

I currently hold a 3.69 unweighted GPA in a very rigorous, well-renowned Catholic high school in MA. I'm a senior, and by the end of high school, I will have taken 10 AP classes. A 3.7 GPA is equivalent to an A- average in my school. My school doesn't weight GPA, and I intend on applying to some top tier schools such as cornell, brown, UVA, tufts, Williams, and Carnegie Mellon. Will such institutions "weight" my GPA or take into consideration the rigor of my high school schedule? Because my unweighted GPA isn't very high/competitive, but my class rigor is.... Thanks

They will look at your unweighted GPA as well as course rigor.

They will also look at your school profile. Some schools do not give an A as easy as in other schools with grade inflation.
