High school GPA

I calculated my GPA as well as the percentage and when I check to see my actual GPA on my final report it’s something a little different. From my calculations, my unweighted GPA and percentage are: 3.73 (94.6%); and my weighted GPA and percentage are: 3.81 (96.2%). Nevertheless, the GPA calculated (percentage) calculated by my school is 95.46%. I don’t know if that’s weighted or unweighted, although I think it’s the weighted one. On the GPA scale, this would be 3.775. Is this correct? Here are the classes with the grades I got in them:

English 9- 93%
Spanish 9- 92%
Algebra II Plus- 95% +3 (98%) -This is a weighted class.
Enriched Chemistry- 94% +5 (99%) -This is a weighted class.
World History I- 99%

Don’t reinvent the wheel. Unless someone specifically asks for a GPA on a 4.0 scale, use the number on your transcript. Ask your GC if the 95.46 is weighted or unweighted; we won’t know.

You may not be weighting the classes correctly. Check with the school to see how they calculate it. You only have 5 classes?

No, I took more classes than that. It’s just that they don’t use the grades of our electives towards our GPA. They only calculate the 5 core classes.

I know every school has their own way of calculating GPA, and some include electives if it is an academic class. I would check with the school to make sure exactly how they are doing it, especially since you came up with a different number.
