Does anyone know how Cornell calculates your GPA after looking at the one your school gives them? My school treats A- as a 4.0 but I’m not sure if when Cornell calculates it, if an A- is a 4.0.
Thanks.

Both of my kids just submitted their school’s transcript and the GPA calculated by their schools. I think Cornell (and other schools) care more about your percentile within your class - top 1%, 5%, 10%, 20%…etc. Some high schools grade harder than others, you could have 3.7 and still be top 10%, and top 10% seem to be magic number. They also care about rigor of your courses.
