High school grades

I was perusing Emorys transfer page when I encountered text saying that they would request my high school grades. Additionally, it said they would not look at my college transcript until after admission, which I found strange. Although I have a 4.0 in college, my high school gpa was a 2.8 roughly. Will this hinder me from being admitted to Emory as a transfer??

The Emory CDS does say that all transfer applicants will have their HS transcript reviewed. http://provost.emory.edu/documents/other/CDS2010_2011.pdf</a> That will hurt you.

would it be worth it to wait 2 years so i can get my high school transcript waived or should i just apply after a year at georgia state. Is it important to do Emory’s GER’s or will i be fine doing them at georgia state. I want to get into gouizeta

Reread post #2. ALL transfer students must provide their HS transcript. It should have less impact after two years on college but it will still be there.
