You are welcome.

My advice to you is to never ever do anything just for college. It will ruin your life. I know people who do that and it ruins their life. Just do what you want to do and try your hardest in anything you do, and let the results come naturally. Planning out the hardest courseload humanly possible will not get you into college, it will just make colleges think you're a fruitcake.

Well, I'm not going to be stoning you for thinking so early for your future and all that other jazz, but you should remember that an AP course is not just a side dish to churn out GPA. You should really know what you are dragging yourself into...(I'd shoot myself before taking music theory). Also, though thinking early is better than late... 4 years is really a long time just to be living for a hopeful college. Just don't get too eager and bust your engine before you hit the freeway.

''Hmm, you seem to be missing one thing in that whole extracurricular department.

Checks

Yep, a life.''

hahahah.

Leave the poor kid alone. It's a good thing to know there are kids out there that acutally care. Oh yeah by the way, he's an eighth-grader so 13-14 years old..... thats nothing cause the first book my kid gets when he's 4 is ''PREPARING FOR THE SAT''!!! hahahah im serious.

make sure he makes a 2400

lol...South Dakota can't be that bad....j/k, just keep up the hard work and you'll get into at least one of those schools. I seriously doubt more than a handful of kids from South Dakota are aiming for schools like that, so you should be fine, and, besides, even if you don't get into the Ivy League, you can still get far away from SD by attending a place like Emory, UGA, or Georgia Tech.
