anyone get accepted yet? anyone else applied?

I really doubt they notify people after one week … wait three or four more weeks and see what happens.

jj_heylookatme: are they still accepting applications? And how much does it cost?

The postmark deadline was April 1, so no. I just got an email saying my app has reached.

Do you think they’d make an exception?

Maybe you should be contacting them for that sort of information. Because, well, they’re the ones who are able to rule on exceptions, not CC users.

But as it’s been a week past the due date, I strongly doubt they would make any exceptions now, especially if your application hasn’t already been sent.

How much is tuition!? And is it selective!? Thanks errbody who responds!

There was a PDF you should have read … [ah, here](http://education.msu.edu/hshsp/pdf/HSHSP-Program-Announcement-2011.pdf). US$3,300 is the tuition; yes, it is fairly “selective”.

Can ya give me an idea about how “selective” it is? Like Harvard-selective? Or MSU (college)-selective? Somewhere in between?

Around 10% selective.

10% admitted? So Ivy League-like? Oyyyy.

Better than TASP, Clark, RSI, etc., at least. :)

If I’m from MI, have a 3.7 GPA (all honors/APs), and good test scores/ECs, can I get in? I’d be a shoo-in at MSU for undergrad.

It relies mostly on your essays, but you should probably contact them before getting ahead of yourself. As chase said, the postmark deadline was a week ago.

I emailed 'em, reminded them I’m a Michigan resident and many of my relatives have degrees from there, and begged shamelessly for them to make an exception. I’ve actually been to summer programs at MSU before, for journalism camp (I’m co-EIC of my school’s yearbook). This would definitely be more intense though, which I want! I hope they let me in… Do you know what your income has to be to qualify for FA?

wait, did u guys get an email confirming that they received ur application? cuz i didn’t…

Yep I got one yesterday.
She was like (some assistant not actually the women who runs the program), “were reviewing your application”
And I was like OKAY.

Anyone else apply to this program? anyone know if there is air conditioning in the rooms?

Anyone who has attended the program before want to discuss their research projects and the ones that were available? I would be highly interested and very grateful.

I’m not sure where they’ll house kids for this, but I know, when I went to MSU for a program last summer, they didn’t have air conditioning. You had to bring your own fan.

The director said I can still apply, but does anyone know if I’d have a shot if my ACT score is only a 31? Also, do they expect perfect As in all math and science courses?
