High School in New Jersey

I am a sophomore in New York high school, i'm going to move to NJ after the summer, planning to take APs in junior year, i wanna know is there any state exam in NJ like regent test in NY?

I live in NJ, and as far as I know, no.

are there any high school require classes to take?

i believe you need 4 years english, 3 years social studies, 2 years foreign language, 4 years math, and 3 years science? not completely sure about all the numbers.

going to attend NJ high school after this summer, feel pretty nervous...><.. what part of NJ are u from?

edison. which school and what town will you be in?

I’m from NJ....The one big test is the High School Proficiency Assessment (HSPA) which you take in junior year. It is really easy though. Nothing compared to regents! What school do you go to in NY?

i still not sure what town i am going to, still depends on my parent, maybe in the northern part of NJ, heehee

i go to Forest Hills HS

Yeah, we have the HSPA, I've heard that it's easy...on this board. Not such a response form my school ;P. But then again, we're up in northwestern NJ, so...

As far as state requirements, you have to have at least two years of US history.

And the HSPA's are easy.

is that okay if i tranfer to NJ high school and go straight for AP courses?

Two years of US? wow that sucks.

As far as AP courses go, I suppose that it will depend on the individual high school that you attend. At my high school, they would probably let you go straight to AP courses if you have a good transcript and seem strong. Some high schools might need a written teacher recommendation, or you might have to take some sort of entrance exam for placement. I think that is more based upon the individual HS.

^^ Yeah, it really depends on the high school. My school, for instance, doesn't offer ap classes until junior year.
