I’m currently junior, international, and thinking about internship next year. Internship class takes 2 periods out of 8 periods total and it is a full year class. Does this have any advantages / disadvantages to apply for ivy league or any other colleges? since it is not on summer (during the school days) and it takes 2 classes, I’m not sure if it is better to take the class or not.
Top colleges value passion in what you learn and do. If getting an internship is a good way for you to express your passion in a certain field of study, then great, go for it! If you’re just doing it for resume material and don’t have any interest in it otherwise, don’t bother. They’ll be able to tell the difference.
