Guys , I am applying for boarding schools for the year 2015-2016 . But Going to U.S. For interviews will be very difficult for me because I have never visited U.S. My father will go with me but he doesn't know English so I'll have to do everything. U.S is such a big country. It's impossible to come to the US without a driver that speaks English, and there aren't any reliable bus or train routes to each school. Taking a taxi for each leg will cost a fortune, and it will still be difficult for me to find hotels and communicate by myself. Google Maps is a good tool, but i'll have to be able to read road signs and get around; it's not really possible to ask residents for instructions as I go. The interview can be done in four ways: by traveling to the school, over the phone, through Skype, or with an alumni in my area. Will a Skype interview or an alumni interview reduce my chances ?

Of course not. They recognize that not everybody has the time/resources/money/whatever to travel–especially for international students. That’s why they offer the other options in the first place.
