Hello everybody. I'm just wondering what my chances are for acceptance at the University of Arizona, specifically for engineering. The campus is amazing and certainly an institution I would love to be educated at.

Academics:
Class ranking: 64/198 (31%)
GPA: 3.225 (slacking off in freshman and sophomore year really hurt me)
ACT math: 25 (didn't have a calculator, will take again this semester since I have one)
ACT reading: 33
ACT science: 28
ACT composite: 29
SAT math: ~600 (again, no calculator)
SAT reading: ~700

Extracurriculars:
Elected President of Spanish club (led $2,000 trip to Puerto Rico and all associated fundraising)

Elected President of Robotics club (participated in local robotics competitions, I can't remember the league's name)

Elected Vice President of Web Design club (participates in AZSkills competition)

Member of the chess team (attend tournaments across the state)

Soon to be member of MYAC (Mayor's Youth Advisory Committee)

Despite my rough early high school years, my junior year I really got into gear. My schedule this semester is:

Honors College Algebra (should be precalc, but do to some irreversible error by my counselor I was unable to take a math class last semester)
Honors Chemistry
Web Design 3
Precision Mfg. & Robotics 4

I also have quite a few duel enrollment credits as well.

This is my first post to this site so I'm no too accustomed with the layout of these types of threads, so I'll probably add more later.

you don’t need a calculator for sat math. they even state that it isn’t required and all questions can be done without the use of a calculator.

On a different note, try to get your GPA up a little. No APs? ECs should be fine.

True. I think I should just retake it again anyways. Lol.

Again, due to an error by the counselling department, I didn’t recieve the AP classes I requested. My school only offers 3-4 AP classes, and I will take them my senior year.

Sure, you don’t need a calculator for the SAT math. You also don’t need a calculator to find the standard deviation of a data set with 1500 points, but I’d still much rather use one. Feel free to retake the tests! I’m not familiar with U of A’s engineering program, but I felt like you should get a second opinion about that math thing.

can anyone chance me for university of arizona?
