High school math=college math?

I'm attending a community college this fall and am thinking it might be wise to have the four years of math "recommended" at many schools. So if I took a one-semester math class at college, say Statistics, (3 or 4 credits) would it be equal to an entire year of high school calculus? Thanks!

Uh, no. [10 char]

In my state, 4 credits at a university=1 high school credit. So yeah, technically, it would be equal to a year of a high school class. But statistics does not equal calculus, at ALL.

Yes, I know Statistics is not the same as calculus, but I am not going into the maths or sciences and I already took PreCalc, so I’m not too worried.

Yes, a one-semester college course is equivalent to a full-year high school course. So if all you need is four years of math (and the type doesn’t matter), go for it.
