High school profile q

hello
So durin the application process, I heard HSs send in a school profile with avg test scores, GPA, etc to put one’s GPA and class rank in perspective.
I was wondering… Do the colleges request what te high school should include on the profile?

Cuz I know some schools list the # of 4.0s to detect grade in/deflation… However my high school profile does not include tat… Would the college request it?

How do you know your school doesn’t include the number of 4.0s at your school? Have you seen your schools profile? Here is a sample secondary report https://professionals.collegeboard.org/guidance/counseling/profile/sample. As you can see, it does include the number of students receiving each range of GPAs.

There is probably other indicators admissions officers can use to compare you to the rest of your school such as class rank. Colleges also have your standardized test scores to compare you to the general applicant pool. If you had a high GPA and super low scores, the admissions officers would wonder about the discrepancy. Either way, if the college needs more information to make a decision, they will call your guidance counselor to ask.
