Is the Common App High School Report needed for transfer? I am a bit confused, since there is a place on the Common App Transfer App that says "Please have a School Report form, Official Transcript, and School Profile" sent. Does that mean that the common app high school report form is needed? The info on that is more geared toward seniors, and it seems like everything the colleges need to know is on the final transcript. Is the SR form this refers to something different than the high school common app SR form?

Andale, what do you know about this? Or anyone else who is in the know ...

Yes, at least that's the way we interpreted it. The HS is sending exactly what was sent freshman year. The only change my D made was to have the HS put NA in the spot where they ask for senior classes. She also checked to make sure that the school profile corresponded to the classes that were offered when she was attending as they've added some AP & Honors classes since then.

check the website for the schools you are applying to. I know that Oberlin was the only college I am applying to that required it. UPenn, Cornell, Tufts, Brandeis, JHU, BU, and Lehigh all did not list secondary school report under their requirements.

Agree with sfjohson! Sorry, I forgot about the individual school part, only when the HS school report was requested, was everything was sent. There was one college that only wanted the HS transcript and another that retained all of the information from students that applied last year.

Thanks for the input. I talked to D, and the school that lists the report on their website is one she was accepted to last year ... unfortunately, she has asked if they retained her info (twice) and has yet to receive an answer. Her gc retired & those who remain are useless (she was really lucky to have the one good one!). D is having the report sent ... she is going to ask her high school to just look in her file for the one her gc filled out last year ... and she will let the college know about the retirement & remind them that last year's may still be around somewhere. They are so inundated with apps right now for freshmen, the college is not much help for transfer students at this point. Better to cover all bases!
