I am a freshman in high school, but I already know where my heart lies in universities: USC and NYU. Here is the schedule I have planned out for the next few years:

Theater Company (Lead as Freshman), Student Council, Freshman Advisory (Class Officers, running for President in Sophomore year), French Club, Renaissance Committee (Applied for Student Steering Committee, will hear back soon), and creator and President of the Kindness Club (anti-bullying/volunteer club)

GPA: 3.9 unweighted

Please tell me, does this schedule look good and do I have a chance to get into USC or NYU if I work hard and keep grades up?

schedule depends entirely on what your school offers! all you need is for your GC to select “most rigorous” on the transcript. to me, your schedule looks fine, but it is only one aspect to getting into college. freshman year is still a long ways till applications, so don’t stress out too much. have fun! things will change along the way too, so don’t have too many theoretical things in mind. just go with the flow and find something you love. find your niche.
