So, here's my dilemma: I have 7 classes I'm taking my senior year (next year) and need 1 more.
So far I'm going to take: AP Lit, AP French, AP Economics, Calc H, Gym, International Business Practice Firm, and Accounting 2.
I want to go to UMich, UF, UWMadison, UMiami, UT Austin.

Now, my dilemma is if I should take a science class. Do I need 4 years of science for a highly selective school?
If I do, what should I take? I also want to not have a huge course load.

Those are all really hard classes, and assuming you’ve been taking very hard classes in earlier years and getting good grades in them, I don’t think you need a science course. If you have a good gpa and test scores, those colleges will overlook you not taking 4 years of science. They’re selective, but not like the Ivy League where something like that might REALLY matter. Don’t take an extra science class because you think you need to. In fact I suggest you take a free period to get some of that homework done…
