Additional Information:
I moved halfway through high school to the other side of the country so gaining officer positions was difficult. Almost all clubs required a minimum amount of days that you show up as well as a required amount of hours put in if you wanted to apply. Low-income and parents being layed-off. Planning to take an Introductory Comp Sci. course at local community college if that helps…

Yep that’s about it

UCI/UCSB/UCD: Match
UCSD: High Match
UCLA/UCB: Low Reach

If you have some amazing essays, then the High Match/Low Reach schools could become possible Matches.
You are competitive but you happen to be applying to a very competitive major. Make sure you have 1-2 safeties on your list since the UC’s can be unpredictable. Good Luck.

UCs for engineering are very competitive, and really look at unweighted GPAs and extra curriculars too, that’s what I learned after going through the application process this year. Make sure to do really well on your SAT II’s to be competitive. Message me if you have any questions!

Hopefully, you are in-state?

You are applying to one of the most “impacted” departments, which makes UCB and UCLA reaches (although not impossible), and UCSD a lower reach. You should probably add SJSU and Cal Poly, also.

Yes, I am in-state. Cal Poly is my safety school if I don’t get accepted to the UCs.

If you are using Cal poly SLO as your safety, I would not count on it due to a 10% acceptance rate for CS. If Cal Poly Pomona then yes it would be a safety.

It’s competitive major. Add more schools for that major. More private would be good too. Santa Clara university.
